Right now I'm a bit scared about an army leadership course that I signed up for. And before you ask, no, I don't want to join the army. I'm just doing it for the experience and cos I think I'll enjoy it, and I think I'll learn a lot from it. It's in April, for about a week. Maybe scared is the wrong word, but I'm kinda apprehensive. It's gonna be pretty demanding, and I think I should just about be able to deal with it, but also I want to be able to enjoy it, and I want to last the entire time. I don't want to fail the course and have to go home early. But it should be good.
The title of this blog comes from the cha cha cha, which we're doing in ballroom dancing at the moment. It's really cool - I didn't think that there'd be a dance as good as the jive but we have a close contender here... I really enjoy ballroom dancing, and I am reasonably proficient at it. Which is good.
I love swimming, it's really cool. I have fun every Wednesday diving and sometimes belly-flopping (accidentally) with Josh, Dom, Jason and whoever else may be there. It really is cool :-) and Dom is really good at it, motivating and encouraging us, trying to get us to jump up rather than forward, and shouting, "Yes!" when we're in the air. And today, someone (whom I don't know) was mucking about doing crazy flips and stuff that weren't allowed, and we saw the lifeguard tell him off a few times, and eventually he was told that he had one more go before he had to get out, so he went and sat with his friend for a bit and talked, before making his way back to the diving boards. I said to Jason, "If I were him, I'd do something really good on my last go." It was at this point that he reached the lower board, looked over at the lifeguards and jumped over the barrier to the middle and top boards. He climbed the steps as fast as he could, two at a time, and before anyone could stop him he'd jumped backwards off the top board and done a 360° flip into the water. After returning to the surface and being told to get out, he grinned and replied, "Yeah, I was just getting out anyway." I liked him.

This is a test of the public information system...
Well hello again. Post #2 it would seem.
My day today... alright. Not great, but nothing to complain about. I'm going to Auschwitz in February, some craaazy school trip with only two people going on it. A girl in my year whom I only just met... and yours truly. So yeah, I had a meeting about that today; I'm really looking forward to going, it should be really interesting!
Had a vocab test in French today. Went alright, not as well as I'd hoped though... And I've decided to do my oral presentation on the occupation of France in WWII. Funfunfun!
I lost my camera upload lead yesterday, which was a bit annoying. It meant that I couldn't upload certain important photos. But I managed to get hold of a card reader from that king among IT men, Christopher Malton. So I managed to access mine and Oscar's photos from school, and then sort stuff out, which was good.
Then on the train today there was an announcement... "This is a test of the public information system," (or words to that effect) "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10". I just started laughing, and I kinda caught the eye of another man in the carriage, who chuckled slightly. But what I found even funnier was the fact that the information screens (which display the information that is also coming out over the speaker system) also read "1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10". Funny stuff. OK, maybe you had to be there.
And then I came home to have a nice conversation with my dear girlfriend (Raz, for those of you who don't know). So my day was alright, pretty good in some places... And I don't really have anything on my mind at the moment, although I have the Robin Hood theme tune in my head (Harvey's singing it).
Now I need to do some German homework. I'll try to make my next blog a little less... "BORING!" (Sorry, private joke from my GCSE Biology class - the back table of Room 42).

Hey ho, let's go...
Righty ho then. New blog... It's my first blog, so I'm very inexperienced. I feel like an adult who doesn't really understand the Internet. Oh well... (by the way, I overuse ellipses, as in the plural of ellipsis, not ellipse)
Well... my life at the moment... is pretty good. Nothing really to complain about.
I went on an art trip on Thursday, to the Wellcome Collection somewhere in London (but I don't know where). I didn't get much art done (only one A5 piece), but I got loads of ideas from the various pieces there, especially the films - Un Chien Andalou by Salvador Dalí (that's just the first half) and another one that I don't know the name of. It's really annoying cos I really liked it.
Then yesterday I went on a music trip to see Die Zauberflöte (a.k.a. The Magic Flute) at the Royal Opera House. It was a schools' matinée, which made it a bit annoying because of all the primary school kids and all the kids who didn't shut up and kept cheering stupidly. I thought it was good (although not everyone did), but it was really warm and relaxing so a lot of people (myself included) kept nearly falling asleep. But it wasn't because it was boring, because I enjoyed it. And I understood a lot of the German in it, which I was quite pleased about. Also, the curtain fell down towards the end of Act I, which livened things up. So there was a break while it was repaired, then the remaining few minutes before the interval. It nearly landed on the leading lady, so it's quite lucky that it didn't.
Then yesterday afternoon I just went on MSN (I'm such a party-animal. You can tell how many friends I have...) and I had several nice conversations with people :-)
Today I've done a bit of maths and I read a letter that I received this morning, which was nice. It's always nice getting letters, cos they always seem more personal and friendly and stuff than emails or texts, although they are good too. And you can keep letters for as long as you want, you don't have to delete them when your inbox gets full.
I need to think of more things to do for art. On Monday Ms Wiltshire (my art teacher) made the valid comment that I work far too slowly. So I generally need to get more work done. And the same's true of French. I realised that I really don't work hard enough in French, at all, and I think it annoyed my French teacher. And it kinda upset me too. I know that sounds really stupid, but languages are a pretty big part of my life and I just feel really bad that I haven't done as well as I could have. So I'm gonna try a lot harder in French from now on...
Well, I think that's all for now... I'm gonna do some homework and stuff...
