1, 2, 3, cha-cha-cha...

Right now I'm a bit scared about an army leadership course that I signed up for. And before you ask, no, I don't want to join the army. I'm just doing it for the experience and cos I think I'll enjoy it, and I think I'll learn a lot from it. It's in April, for about a week. Maybe scared is the wrong word, but I'm kinda apprehensive. It's gonna be pretty demanding, and I think I should just about be able to deal with it, but also I want to be able to enjoy it, and I want to last the entire time. I don't want to fail the course and have to go home early. But it should be good.

The title of this blog comes from the cha cha cha, which we're doing in ballroom dancing at the moment. It's really cool - I didn't think that there'd be a dance as good as the jive but we have a close contender here... I really enjoy ballroom dancing, and I am reasonably proficient at it. Which is good.

I love swimming, it's really cool. I have fun every Wednesday diving and sometimes belly-flopping (accidentally) with Josh, Dom, Jason and whoever else may be there. It really is cool :-) and Dom is really good at it, motivating and encouraging us, trying to get us to jump up rather than forward, and shouting, "Yes!" when we're in the air. And today, someone (whom I don't know) was mucking about doing crazy flips and stuff that weren't allowed, and we saw the lifeguard tell him off a few times, and eventually he was told that he had one more go before he had to get out, so he went and sat with his friend for a bit and talked, before making his way back to the diving boards. I said to Jason, "If I were him, I'd do something really good on my last go." It was at this point that he reached the lower board, looked over at the lifeguards and jumped over the barrier to the middle and top boards. He climbed the steps as fast as he could, two at a time, and before anyone could stop him he'd jumped backwards off the top board and done a 360° flip into the water. After returning to the surface and being told to get out, he grinned and replied, "Yeah, I was just getting out anyway." I liked him.

Anyway, that is all. For now! Goodbive.
