Wow...

Long time no blog. What happened? Well, I've had a lot of stuff on my plate recently.

Went to Paris for the A Level Art Trip from 3rd-6th. That was very cool. We visited lots of museums and churches and things like that, did a lot of drawing, got our exam papers and took loads of photos, many of which I deleted accidentally a few days after. I was so annoyed. Seriously. Most of my good photos are now gone. Really bad. But yeah, the trip was very cool. We went up the Eiffel Tower on Tuesday evening and that was really fun. I'm not quite sure why, but it was. It was very windy and cold though. Then it was my birthday on Wednesday, and we went to the Louvre and a Picasso museum. It was fun. So now I'm 17.

I had a party on the Saturday - '50s themed. That was pretty cool, although I was really annoyed that I couldn't get the CD to play that I'd burned. It had Johnny B. Goode on it! So I was fairly annoyed. But the rest of the party was good, everyone looked cool. But then my mum lost the car keys after we'd packed the car, so I had to run home and back in the rain to get the spare keys... OK, it wasn't that bad. It only took 15 minutes and I had a jacket on so it wasn't that cold. But still... Hehe. So Susie and Fran (who shared the party with me) came back to my house and we opened presents and then went to bed. Then the next morning we watched Blast Off!, the Elm Green School Production '02, which Fran and I starred in.

Later that day I went to London for a follow-up seminar to the Auschwitz trip. That was pretty good, and I took some photos in London for my art. I reckon some were pretty good lol.

So... I've been working hard at school lol. All the lessons I've been to, that is. I had the Spring Choral and Orchestral Concert, that was pretty good. Nothing else really though...

And I've been having driving lessons! Yay! Well, I've had one. But it went well. I stalled quite a lot lol, but I still think I was pretty good for a first lessoner. Hehe maybe it's just me who thinks that though. I've got another one tomorrow. Yay! I love driving...

So... Easter on Sunday. And then I can drink tea again! I'm waiting until Monday, just in case. That's the way I do it, anyway. Loadsa people say that Sundays don't count (which I can understand, as without Sundays there are 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Easter), but I think it's stupid if people then do their Lenty things on Sundays (i.e. giving up alcohol but drinking it every Sunday cos they don't count). It's not hard then, you just do whatever you give up once a week. Jesus didn't eat food every Sunday, did he? The way I see it, on the Sabbath you're on your best behaviour anyway, so you don't do Lenty things.

Sorry if you didn't like that whole vaguely religious bit then, but I get annoyed by people thinking that Lent is stupid (generally because they're not religious). I know quite a few atheists who give up stuff over Lent, and I think that's good. Cos Lent's a challenge, it's bettering yourself, testing your willpower and stuff like that. And if you give up junk food or something like that then it improves your health too.

Yeah, sorry for that lecturey-type thing! Anyway, blog over!

It wasn't lecture-y, don't worry!

I'm really scared when I drive, which is not a good start. My first lesson is now actually in my diary for next Tuesday, and I finally called Nigel today! Well done on your driving :) I can imagine you passing ridiculously early.

You'll be pleased to hear that I finished sorting that massive pile of paper... And then did one History essay. Oops.

Can't you save some of the Paris photos back from Facebook? I know there are way more, but you said before you only had 25 or so left and there are more than that in your Facebook albums.

Mum was talking today about the flash from her old camera :)
